Amazon CloudFront Question

Postby jean_marc » Wed Feb 18, 2009 11:19 am

Hello All,
and thanks again for pulling of such a cool product in open source, respect.
I might have missed something, but I can't figure out how to setup an Amazon CloudFrond distribution (I have a AWS account with S3 and Cloudfront enabled)
When I try to set the check box, the "Where" field stays at "Unknown", pressing "apply" shows an error: "The parameter Origin does not refer to a valid S3 bucket".
The transcript is:

Date: Wed, 18 Feb 2009 10:59:04 GMT[\r][\n]
Cneonction: close[\r][\n]
Server: CloudFront[\r][\n]
[\r][\n]
[\r][\n]

What am I doing wrong ?

While I am here, the tools keeps showing for a certificate validation dialog, if I click continue, the operation carries on (refersh, upload, ...)
If I toggle the checkbox "Alway trust *.s3.amazonaws.com when connecting ..., the dialog comes back with the message "A failure occured during certificate trust verification. Please specify the trust settings for the certificates that needs updating."
Is this normal? are my two problems linked, what is your opinion?

Tanks in advance,
Cheers,

JM
PS: you may also want to correct the typo "Connection"

Sorry to be pushy!
I would just like to understand if I need to actually prepare the distribution on the AWS side, or Cyberduck will take care of this.
Can somebody point me in the right direction?
Many thanks in advance.
Cheers

I have opened http://trac.cyberduck.ch/ticket/3068 for this issue. I am currently investigating this together with engineering from Amazon. Thanks for reporting the issue, this will get fixed in the next update.

The latest nightly build at http://update.cyberduck.ch/nightly (r4505) includes the patch to fix this issue.
