I still like Cyberduck better than any other FTP program I've used, but the drawer feature was at the top of the list of things I liked best about it!

I've gone without it, trying to adapt, for several months now and I still grumble every time I have to switch to bookmark view to switch locations. I know there's a popup list of bookmarks, too, but scanning through that is even less appealing to me than switching views (other FTP programs have that -- it isn't unique). Please reconsider adding a separate pane for bookmarks that will stay up while browsing a site but can also be closed for those people who prefer not having it.

I hate to dust off an old thread, but having just moved to a new computer that's running Snow Leopard, I am now forced to use the latest version of Cyberduck with no drawer or sidebar. So I renew my displeasure with the removal of that feature and request the option to turn it back on. I just spent a little time with my bookmarks and found it so clunky and taking many more clicks with the new bookmark setup.

If I donated would it be added back in? Seriously? I'm not the only one here!

I take it the silence in this thread means the request for a sidebar/drawer feature is not under consideration...

Is anybody listening to Jabohn and others about the drawer?

What's the big deal about making it available for those who want it?

This is the open source world, right? Listen to folks. Don't just tell them how it's going to be.

A similar thing happened to Transmission (BitTorrent client). A new feature was added, most people liked it, but a small group did not. In the next version, the option to disable the new feature was added.

The drawer or similar way of having the bookmarks visible in a sidebar.

Yes, and it also means anyone can download the code, make the change and provide a patch.
