Postby gops » Tue Sep 29, 2009 9:14 pm

Then it's a Thunderbird problem, so you should contact Thunderbird's developers.

If you were using a profile from an older version of TB or had a third-party extension for Growl installed, you may want to check the config. Go to Preferences, Advanced, Config Editor, and accept the warning. In the search bar enter mail.biff and look for the line mail.biff.show_alert. Make sure the value is **true**. To change it, just click on the line. In my profile, this was set to false (probably due to an extension hanging around).

Good luck!

That was the case. The show_alert was false for what ever reason. Thanks for the tip
It works cool now
