Where is the Growl.Log option gone?

Postby sirb » Mon Nov 05, 2007 1:10 pm

at this URL http://growl.info/documentation/explori ... rences.php
in the General pane, I can select the preferred notification style and chose the location for Growl.Log.

In my preferences for 1.1.2 under Leopard, I can only chose in General pane:

- start/stop
- start at login
- leave notifications after ...
- hide all notification

Where can I find:

- Logging
- Status Item
- idle

Is here a difference between documentation and release, or is something broken at my end?

That documentation is really old and needs to be updated. Status Item is the menu item, logging has been removed currently, and idle is still in the General tab.

I guess there's some voodoo you can do to re-enable the Log option, but you can also try using the plugin I just wrote for myself, which not only lets you put the log file where you like, but also poops it out as (half-assed) XML. http://web.media.mit.edu/~jkestner/software/

You actually built it in a manner that makes it compatible with Growl 1.2, seems to work here.
