Just tried it - works.

Regarding the Google Voice thing: I'll think about it.

Yes, just a couple of messages through. Seems to be working again for me...

Just wanted to thank Tscherno for this great service! I had been using Gmail-Growl, but this is much better as I don't need to rely on my computer at home to be on all the time. I just switched my Google Voice SMS numbers to forward directly to mail2prowl.de.

Kudos Tscherno - please keep this going!

I am having the same issue as described in the post from Aug 17. I just set up my prowl account yesterday and all the forwards were working great. However, today, all the messages would get truncated at 'Subj:'.

So in the notification that pops up, I only see:
M2P -- [email@address.com]
Subj:

And nothing else. I also only see 'Subj:' in the prowl app itself. And I've tested this with google voice forwards, as well as simple emails to my [API]@mail2prowl.de, all with the same result (only 'Subj:'). I've also tried re-generating my API key, re-installing the app, and restarting my phone, but no luck.

In the previous post regarding this exact issue, it appears that you just 'restarted' the script and it begins working again? Is this a recurring issue and just resetting it will fix it? Thanks for your help!

Does your problem still exist now?

It was okay a few hours later after I posted and then for a short while the next day the problem came back, and then it's been fine since so it seems like it's intermittent? As I mentioned, I've only had it for a few days so that's not long enough to tell how frequently it happens...

Just thought I'd chime in. I'm experiencing the same issue. It seems to come and go. I used the service worry free for about a month, then noticed the described scenario for the first time last night. At first it was only a problem with Voice Growl, and worked just forwarding from Gmail. Intermittently, I noticed that the problem would creep up. I'm currently seeing the issue now whenever I send something to my API key via email.

Is there a fix in the works?

I'm not sure what causes the problem, but i tried something. Let's see if it's better now.

Is the mail2prowl email service working today? I have sent a couple of emails to my address but nothing has shown up on my phone.

There are problems with a german DNS provider today (DDOS attach). My servers are also affected from that. I hope this is fixed tomorrow.

Server is back up now, the delay was my fault, fixed now.

PS: I deleted the mail queue.

@Tscherno
Several months ago I noticed your service when I first started using Prowl. Your service inspired me to write my own with additional features because I had a need to use the different alert sounds Prowl offers based on priorities. I setup a mail google apps service for mail2prowl.com and prowlmail.com that lets you add priority and send messages to multiple prowl recipients. <API_KEY>.<prority>@prowlmail.com or <API_KEY>+<API_KEY>.<priority>@prowlmail.com. I haven't tested it with all mail clients such as google voice messages, but it should work fine.

OK with the possibility to do this direct via prowl api service, i shut mail2prowl down. The script is still online at SF.
