I have AVI files generated from proprietary medical imaging software (Siemens). I cannot open them in Quicktime, even though Perian is installed (and has been for a long time - otherwise works fine). Strangely enough I can put them into Keynote & Powerpoint and they work. I can also open them in VLC, and the information says they are encoded using an RV24 codec. A google search shows that RV24 is uncommon/rare - can't find a source. I'd like to open them in Quicktime (pro) and convert them to a different format. In their current state they are huge - 25MB typical. Haven't been able to find anything else that can open/export them (VLC crashes, but then not really meant to do that). Any suggestions??
