Feature request: RSS feed setting inactive

Postby Ingo Lembcke » Fri Jul 08, 2016 9:24 am

I have a few RSS Feeds with articles I want to keep, where the RSS-Feeds where closed.
This is no problem, the RSS feeds show the mark for not available, when updated.
Now an RSS feed was stopped, but the URL still exists and asks for a login.
It is "http://www.kindlepost.de/atom.xml" the German Amazon Kindle Blog, they announced on July 5th, that they will be closing.
Now on every Update for all RSS feeds I get a popup asking for login, which I do not have, the Amazon.de login does not work.

For this, and the other non active RSS-feeds I would like a setting so they do not get checked anymore, like "inactive" or something like that.
If that is possible with a workaround, while still automatically updating aktive feeds every 15min. or so, I have not found it and would like help to set this.
If this is not possible yet, I would like to have a setting as described.

Currently I have 29 RSS feeds, and often see the beachball for a short time when all feeds get updated and also the popup asking for login credentials, which I must cancel manually to read articles in Vienna.

Vienna Version 3.1.5 :e14f77e
on
Mac OS X 10.10.5 Yosemite (14F1908)
Safari Version 10.0 (10602.1.38.4) Beta Seed 2 (!)

Thanks for a great program!

Alternative feature request:
would probably require more work.
Individual update setting for each RSS feed, with one global setting like this
( ) do not update
(x) global update setting
( ) every month
( ) every fortnight
( ) every week
( ) every 12 hours
( ) every hour
( ) every 15min.
( ) every 5 min.
( ) every min.
