Ability to drag web page addresses

On thing I sorely miss in the Vienna web browser is the ability to drag addresses from the address bar to the Desktop or a folder on the desktop.

This is useful for storing links to pages linked within a page found via a feed. (a complicated description but it's the best I can think of)

As it is now I need to open a link into an external browser so that I can gain this ability. Safari/Webkit handles this just fine so is it something easily done?

Hi AlanR,

I'm not sure what you mean: You just need to highlight the URL and drag it wherever you want to. I agree that it would be more comfortable to able to drag from the favicon, and I'll put that on my TODO list.

That's what I meant, thanks.

I'm re-visiting this because there is quite a difference between simply dragging a link from the address field and dragging the favicon on Safari or Firefox. The latter two assign the web location the page title as the file name, making the saved link much more useful.
