(possible) Bug report with Vienna

Postby monstergarden » Fri Jan 15, 2010 7:53 pm

Vienna on Mac os 10.5.8

I was using earlier versions of Vienna and did not notice this problem

I just updated to the new Vienna yesterday, Jan 14th. The problem has happened several times since then. What appears to be happening is that Vienna is pulling old blogs dated back to at least Sept 09. I use a smart folder with one simple rule: Read is no. This helps me since I have about 50 subscriptions. I believe it might be occurring when I am using that smart folder, I recently started highlighting the titles in the title pane, about 30 at a time, so I can scan through the blogs faster in the main body pane.
You can see an example of what I am talking about, selecting 5 unread articles and then viewing each of them condensed on the right at this link:
So, while scrolling down through the blogs about 15 min ago, I noticed a sudden change. I looked at the dates of the blogs at the very bottom of the title column in the middle and noticed that Vienna was pulling old blogs again. This is the third time I think that this has happened.
This time the subscription that Vienna was pulling older "already read" blogs from was my subscription to UsingMac.com (http://www.usingmac.com//feed/atom.xml)
The other two blogs I noticed that had old blogs showing up in Vienna were:
Beautiful Pixels (http://beautifulpixels.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default)
Jalopnik (unable to provide URL due to max number of URLs allowed)

Relevant preferences:
Check for new articles - every 2 hours
move articles to trash - after 2 weeks
check for new articles on startup
Mark current article read: 'After a short delay'
