This is a hard problem to describe so bear with me:
I have several group folders, each of which contain subscription feeds grouped by themes. For example, I have a general "Mac News" group with subscriptions to the various sites such as World of Apple, TUAW, etc. I also have a general "Software Development" group with their associated subscriptions, such as Cocoa with Love and Mac Research. I think this setup is fairly close to how many people do it.
The bug (part 1): articles that normally show up in the TUAW subscription, within the Mac News group, are also showing up in the Cocoa with Love folder, within the Soft Dev group BUT that article is not necessarily showing up in the Mac Research folder within the Soft Dev group, or the World of Apple subscription in the News group. Not all articles are duplicated either. There's no obvious pattern within the UI; I have to open each subscription and review the list of articles to spot the duplicates.
The bug (part 2): if I click on the duplicate article and select "open subscription home page", Vienna loads the web page associated with the parent subscription: an extraneous TUAW article in the Cocoa with Love folder loads the Cocoa with Love RSS feed page whereas the "open article page" goes to the TUAW article itself. This behavior may be intentional with the assumption that all articles within a subscription are guaranteed to be associated with that subscription.
What I'm looking for:
For part 1: is there a better way to describe this bug? I.e., does Vienna have a diagnostic log that would explain these behaviors (and can be forwarded to the developers)?
For part 2: is there a known remedy other than manually pruning articles? There doesn't appear to be an easy way to select an article and see at a glance which subscription page it's really from, i.e., I cannot click on the duplicate article and see that it really belongs with the TUAW feed.
