Copy/redirect Prowl notification to clipboard?

Is there any way to set up a URL handler to take the notification that's sent thru Prowl and copy it to the clipboard? I can do this by opening Prowl, selecting, and pasting, but a no-click version would be great. Basically a push-enabled PasteBot equivalent.

Re: Growl and Applescript

Thank you for the work you've put into helping me think through the inherent problems (in the best sense of the word) a script notifier creates. I agree with everything you've said about scripts posting notifications. I wouldn't write "noisy" scripts myself, since that would eliminate the ...

Re: what are people doing with custom notifications?

I've been like a kid in a candy shop since Prowl came out. Here's my current bag o' tricks that I'm still using more than a few days later... For the most part, I have various scripts and applications on my home server Mac, including... Successful/unsuccessful Mozy backup Successful client machine b...

Re: More bang from Growl: feature requests

I'd like to see actions at some point. However, I'm not sure anymore as to whether we should ship the actions based UI to another app, and have it feed off of Growl, or have Growl itself do this. Passing notifications to third party scripts (AppleScript, shell scripts, etc.) seems like the easiest ...

Re: Growl and Applescript

I don't see the lack of non-script notifications as a problem. It is. Then we can agree to disagree. ;) It's trival to notify via Growl or an alert box in AppleScript, so notification can be handled script-side. Posting a Growl notification from such a script means one of two things: ...And throwin...

Re: Growl and Applescript

Haven't seen any activity on this, but I thought I'd bump it up since this could be extremely valuable. I can see how the implementation would be very challenging. Running a script is a very different thing than just displaying a notification with fixed parameters. Here's some thoughts on how to wor...

Re: Notifier Request - Run AppleScript

Mind if I bump this up? It would still be astonishingly useful, especially if it could pass along the message info. This would let TONS of programs that support Growl to have event-based script triggers.

Applescript new chat with non-contact

I'm trying to get Adium to make a new chat with a contact that isn't in my contact list. Something like "tell accountname to make new chat with contacts {"arbitraryperson"} with new window" The only trick is I want the contact to be an arbitrary screenname/UID, a la the "New...

How can I get me off my contacts list?

Something I really dig about Adium is the address book synchronization. I have painstakingly added IM information for all my contacts, and Adium actually knows what to do with 'em. Pretty slick. The one problem is that I'm in my address book! So in my buddy list, there's four or five icons (I have s...
