Re: Updating growl plugin

Can you paste the output from /Applications/Utilities/Console.app? Errmm... maybe?.... Delete Prowl from ~/Library/Application Support/Growl/Plugins (there might be multiple copies there). I did this and everything seems to be fine now, showing v1.4 installed. When i looked in ~/Library/Application...

Re: Updating growl plugin

Re: Push notifications dont show up on home wifi, but do on othr

I had this exact same issue, it turns out it was some crazy DNS problem between the iphone, my wireless router and the DSL router. The easiest way to fix it was to change the DNS settings on the iPhone to something else. I would suggest you take a look at opendns ( http://www.opendns.com/ ). Using t...

Re: Two devices?

So the issue of not getting notifications over a wifi connection (works fine at work but not at home) i have been able to fix. It is due to some network type issue, I did some searching and it seemed that DNS was the problem. I set my iphone up to use OpenDNS and now notifications work as they shoul...

Re: Two devices?

Well, I did have issues with my hardware firewall about a year ago. So I took it out of the loop and now hiding behind my ADSL router and being protected by NAT. I used to work for my ISP and still work in the same building.. I am 1000% sure that nothing is being blocked there end. perhaps my networ...

Re: Two devices?

So.. Sent a message via the prowl website with wifi turned off on the phone and it turns up in 5-10 seconds. Send another message with wifi turned on and after 2-3 mins nothing. Turn wifi off again and it come in 5-10 seconds after that. This would explain why I get notifications of things as soon a...

Re: Two devices?

But I have only ever had prowl installed on one device. I take it I can remove them from the prowl website and then things should "reset" back to just once device? While at home I have full edge connection and wifi, but I am not getting any notifications. They only show up when I load prow...

Two devices?

Hey there, So I have not been getting 100% of the notifications showing on my phone. When I am at work where I get perfect 3G service it never misses a beat, but at home where I get a medium gprs signal I sometimes don't get any prowl notification loving. When I load the app on my phone then the not...

OK, I thought I was doing something crazy. With PHP as in most programming languages there are many ways to do the same thing. I would suggest perhaps trying a different url to see if that works etc...

curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER, false); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYHOST, false); Can I ask from a technical point of view what the advantages of using cURL are over using fopen (see my code above for an example). the fopen negotiates the https with out any problems at all. Re: Third-party API (RFC)

Being a bit of a web noob, what's the 40-byte 'api key' and how is this generated? Chris, If you log into your prowl account at https://prowl.weks.net/ under settings there is a new API section at the top of the page. The API interface is much easer for me to get working than the previous way of in...
